The Community Blood Bank of Warren County is facing a real problem that could lead to issues in regards to a critical blood shortage.

The Community Blood Bank is holding a series of Blood drives throughout the month of June as well as July to try to drum up support for donations.

Shari Jerman the Regional Mobile Drive Coordinator with The Community Blood Bank, was able to take some time out of her busy day talk to about these issues with us.

While these issues have always been a struggle in more rural communities, dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic on top of that, Shari says has had a devastating impact on their operations.

She also talked about just how significant a single donation can be.

Shari also further expanded on the donation process with us.

For the remainder of June, here is a list of places where more blood drives will be held;

  • Holy Redeemer Church in Warren, Tuesday June 16th from 12 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Youngsville Fire Hall, Wednesday June 17th from 12 PM to 5 PM
  • Warren Manor, Thursday June 25th from 8 AM to 12 PM

If you are looking for a consistent place you can go to donate blood, Shari mentioned that as well.
